First, feed your fish for at least two days prior to your departure. Prepare a cooler to contain your pet. Place air stone inside the cooler and fill it with enough water of the right temperature and appropriate quality. You can enhance the water quality by using water conditioner treatment. Gently place the fish in the cooler and let it stay there for a while so that it gets used to its temporary home. During transit, cover the container with a black bag to keep light from infiltrating and causing stress to your pet.
